In addition, when you use our website, we automatically collect information via cookies and other similar technologies about you such as your device’s IP address, referring website, what pages your device visited and when it visited them.

How we use the information

The information that is collected is used to:

a) Respond to enquiries and comments from you.

b) Communicate with you about, and fulfill any plant orders you make.

d) Maintain The Backyard Larder website effectively, safely, securely and legally, in accordance with, and only with, our legitimate interests.

e) Provide third party web analytics service, StatCounter, with statistical information about our users. The information that is recorded consists of the date and time of visit, IP address, browser, operating system version, screen resolution, referring link, the current page url and the current page title. Personally identifiable information such as visitor’s name, telephone number, postal address and email address are technically impossible for StatCounter to collect and no attempt is made to do so.

We do not share your personal information for the purpose of any third party’s direct marketing. We do not sell your personal information to anyone under any circumstances. We may be required to disclose your personal information in response to valid requests by public authorities such as the Police or security services.

Your rights in relation to the information we collect

You have rights under data protection laws in relation to the personal information we collect about you. You have the right to be sent a copy of the information we hold about you, have any inaccurate information we hold about you corrected, request that we stop using your personal information in a particular way or have the information we hold about you deleted.
